Susan Anthony has been designing interiors for over 20 years creating spaces that forge the links of beauty, function and the environment. Her extensive background has enabled her to work with top resources to create a design service of ultimate luxury.
Her childhood passion for interior design lead her to Parson’s where she flourished as a student and quickly launched herself into the design world. Susan began her career at William Turner Associates and ultimately became Vice president of the company. Susan went on to work for industry leaders such as Laura Ashley, and Ralph Lauren, before starting her own firm Susan Anthony, Inc. Her firm grew quickly carving out her reputation with clients and industry professionals.
Merging talent with longstanding collaborator, Maureen Wright, Susan and Maureen created the firm Anthony-Wright Interiors. Together they designed luxury homes for clients from Florida to New York.
Sensitive to recent economic and environmental shifts Susan purchased and renovated for herself a mid-century modern house. She named her eco-friendly home Acorn Cottage and is working to develop a line of beautiful and sustainable fabrics under the label Acorn Cottage Designs. Susan’s concern for the environment has led her to transition her business and her design services toward sustainability.
Susan has extensive experience designing residential homes, corporate offices, and medical facilities. She is on the board of the ASID and the Westchester Green Business Advisory Board, and a member of the Westchester Business Council, US Green Building Council, Urban Green Council and WITH IT-Women in the Home Industry Today.
